Who are we and what do we stand for?
Read the Swarmanifesto and when
you've finished scratching your head, you can join
us.
Swarmanifesto
is a bastardisation of F.T Marinetti's Futurist Manifesto,
which though a cracking good read, sadly lacks any mention of
scooters.
The
Swarm is primarily a group for riders of Vespas; Lambrettas are
welcome and other under 200cc scooters may also be invited.
Buying
a scooter is not like buying whitegoods, you don't buy on price,
they're not fridges - and cheap Chinese rubbish is cheap Chinese
rubbish. Susbequently if you ride a Vmoto Milan or Monaco, a Manhattan
Gondola, a Sachs City, a Jianshe, Yamaha Vino or SCP, we thank
you for your interest but direct you towards the door with a polite
nudge.
No
offence to riders or manufacturers of these scooters is intended,
that's just where this group is coming from.
Read
the fine print below because it's important and if you wish to
roll with The Swarm you'll need to know this:
"The
Scooter Groups are non-constituted clubs. Group members take full
responsibility for their own persons and any property belonging
to their own persons while taking part in any rides or activities
organised by individuals or groups of individuals associated with
the group. All members participate in group activities at their
own risk. The organisers of any rides or activities will not and
cannot be held liable for any loss or damage to property, or injury
to riders that may be taking part in any rides or activities that
may be organized by members or groups of members of the group."
Did
you get that? If you down a cask of Morris Pressings, drop your
bike and try to single-handedly storm the Bastille, you're on
your own.
More
information is coming for this page but in the mean time should
you wish to know more please contact our SWMLDR.
